Our Shared Space

Retreat is where women come home to themselves—and each other.

step out of the noise of everyday life and into something simpler, more nourishing. come to move your body, breathe deeper, laugh, create, and remember that wellness doesn’t have to be serious to be powerful.

We’ll build strength—mentally, emotionally and communally—leaving room for play, creativity and curiosity.

Some days you’ll come to get grounded.
Some days you’ll come to get strong.
Some days you’ll come just to be around other women who get it.

And You’ll get to know yourself more each time.

We break the mold of STRICT 60-minute classes and offer a place for gathering, exploration and connection, Where you can take more time for yourself and get what you really need, Not merely a work out.

This is Your exhale.

We’re Glad You’re with us.

The Retreat Maine is where movement meets meaning. Where community goes beyond the mat. Where you'll find the depth of a retreat, the warmth of a studio, and the things we all wish we'd been taught long ago—how to understand ourselves, feel our feelings, cope with real life, and be genuinely well.

Meet Ashley

With 20 years’ experience, she’s learned a thing or two…

Ashley McHan is a therapist and yoga teacher who deeply believes in the healing power of being gently connected to yourself. Her work with trauma and eating disorders is rooted in the teachings of yoga—not as something to perfect, but as a steady source of support for the nervous system, the mind, and coming home to the body.

For 20 years, Ashley has walked this path as both student and teacher. With more than 1,000 hours of teacher training along the way. She’s also helped lead trainings, supporting others in becoming confident teachers and practitioners who can use these practices as real-life tools for healing, coping, and showing up more fully in their lives.

She cares deeply about making these practices feel accessible, human, and usable in real life—as tools for healing, coping, and living with more presence and ease.

Her approach is all about bridging East and West—blending yoga psychology with modern therapeutic understanding—so you have a grounded, accessible compass for navigating life, both on and off the mat.

Her hope is that you feel supported, held, and empowered—here and beyond.
